Karen Shaffer celebrates 25 years with Peoples State Bank this month. She is a Teller at our Main Bank and Drive-Up Branches in Newton. Karen’s banking history began nine years before she joined Peoples State Bank. In addition to being a Teller, she previously spent time in Accounts Payable and License Title.

“I really enjoy seeing and visiting with the customers and my fellow co-workers,” Karen said.

Karen has three daughters and five grandchildren. When not at work or with her family, Karen enjoys walking, reading, flower gardening and riding the motorcycle with her husband, Don.

“We are fortunate to have Karen on the teller line,” said Laural Ackerman, Head Teller at Peoples State Bank. “Her 25 years are valuable not only when training any new tellers we may have, but also to all of us for reference and knowledge in different situations.”

Peoples State Bank, the Board of Directors and all the staff would like to congratulate Karen on her anniversary.
