As part of America Saves Week 2019, scheduled for Feb. 25 through March 2, Peoples State Bank is spreading the saving message and urging its communities to make savings a priority. From encouraging individuals and families to take the America Saves Week Savings Pledge to providing daily savings tips and offering ideas on how to best utilize tax refunds, Peoples State Bank is focusing on financial health.

“Those who create a plan for saving are more likely to follow through and save the money than those who don’t,” said Stacy Moore, President of Peoples State Bank. “America Saves Week is a great opportunity to help our community members set a goal, make a plan and make saving an automatic part of their daily lives.”

Peoples State Bank is offering daily tips to encourage and promote saving. In addition to posting tips on their website and social media, they are encouraging people to take the Savings Pledge and enter the #ImSavingForSweepstakes, where they could win a cash prize. The pledge sets a savings dollar amount, goal or reason, and timeframe to create a basic savings plan.

America Saves Week is also Military Saves Week. Resources along the same theme are available to service members to help them pay down debts to begin saving and investing for the future.
