Kenneth L. Hartrich
Kenneth Hartrich of Newton, IL, passed away at 8:47 AM Friday, May 17, 2013, at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, May 20, 2013, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, IL, with Fr. Al Kemme celebrating mass. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Ste. Marie, IL. Visiation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Sunday, May 19, 2013 at the church. Memorials may be made to the Newton Community High School Academic Foundation or the American Diabetes Assocation. Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL.
Kenneth was born on Ocotober 23, 1939 in Ste. Marie, Illinois the son of Albert "Snook" and Marjorie (Barthelme) Hartrich. Kenneth attended Millikin University where he was the captain of the track team and was also a line backer on the football team. Kenneth married Sandra Bixler on June 11, 1960 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, IL. Kenneth was a teacher in Bradford, IL from 1961 to 1965 and then in Oakwood, IL from 1965 till 1974. He then owned and operated Hartrich Star Market in Newton, IL. In 1997 he returned to teaching at ROE 12 in Robinson until his retirement. Kenneth was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Newton. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #1704 and a former member of the Lions and Elks club. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 52 years Sandra Hartrich of Newton; mother Marjorie Hartrich of Decatur, IL; children Lana (Doug) Dhom of Newton, Bruce (Traci) Hartrich of Godfrey, IL and Eric (Terry) Hartrich of Smyrna, GA; grandchildren Kendra (Ryan) Litteken of Troy, IL, Tyson (Dana) Dhom of St. Louis, MO, Kelcie, Bailey and Christopher Hartrich of Godfrey, IL and Sterling Hartrich of Smyrna, GA; great grandchilden Brayden and Averie Litteken of Troy, IL; and brothers Dennis (Judy) Hartrich of White House, TN and David (Earlene) Hartirch of Decatur, IL. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father.

David Teets of Montrose, IL, passed away at 2:37 AM Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, May 20, 2013, at the Jewett Community Chruch with Irvin Figgins officiating. Burial will be in the Jewett Cemetery in Jewett, IL with full military rites by the Cumberland County Veterans Association. Vistation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM Sunday, May 19, 2013 at teh Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup, IL. Memorials may be made to the Jewett Community Church.
David was born on November 21, 1931 in Farmington, MO the son of Chester "Joe" and Nellie (Sides) Teets. David severed his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1954, David retired from Howell Asphalt after 29 years of services and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union #841. David attended the Jewett Community Church in Jewett, IL. He enjoyed the outdoors espciallly hunting, fishing and his dogs and cats.
David is survived by brothers Robert (June) teets of Jewett, William Teets of Montrose, IL and John Teets of Edgewood, IL; sisiters Marjorie Caroni of Wildwood, IL, Partricia Klingler of Rhinelander, WI, Clara (James) Albert of Lapeer, MI, Alta (Hallett) Hess of Ladysmith, WI, Jonell Bell of Effingham, IL and Ruby Rankin of Altamont, IL. Several nieces and nephews also survive. David was preceded in death by his parnets and 2 sister-in-laws Madonna Teets and Angela Teets.
