  • Newton Jr. Women's Club will be hosting a Purse Auction - Friday, May 18, 2012 at 6:30 PM at Parklanes in Newton.  Proceeds benefit PUSH (Parents Understanding Self Help), a local organization.

 

  • Book Signing & Open House - All adults are invited to an open house book signing at Scott Avenue Christian Church, 404 S Scott Avenue, Newton on Wednesday, May 23rd from 5:00-7:00 PM.  Bob Peterson, former SACC minister, has written a book entitled "As You See the Day Approaching."  Books will be available for sale.

JUNE

  • StrawberryFest Pancake Breakfast - Saturday June 2nd 6:00AM - 10:00 AM  In the basement Fellowship Hall 309 S Van Buren St, Newton  Menu includes pancakes with strawberries or Syrup, & Ham, Coffee, Mike or Juice  Church history books will be avaiable & history room will be open for viewing during the breakfast

 

  • 18th Annual Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Saturday, June 2nd serving 5:30 Am - 10:00 Am at the Newton Lodge 216.  From 12:00 - 3:00 PM ILCHIP Child Identification Progarm No charge for this service.

 

  • Area Masons Host 5th Annual Old-Fashioned BBQ to Benefit Oblong Children's Christian Home.  At the Crawford County Fairgrounds Oblong, Illinois Saturday, June 9, 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM drive thru available.   For Questions call 618-592-3633.  $5 small plate, $7 full plate. Menu includes Smoked Pork BBQ, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Tea, Gatorade or Water  Book Fair (cash & carry) Book sales benefit Oblong Children's Christian Home.
